It has been a settled annual ritual for Mälardalen University to offer scholarships to international students applying for a Master’s programme in the university as their first choice. Mälardalen University Master’s Scholarship Programme offers a very limited number of scholarships. Due to the limited of the scholarships, the programme has been quite competitive among the applicants.

Scholarship value and inclusion

The Mälardalen University Master’s Scholarship Programme covers 100% of the tuition fee of the programme as long as you follow the normal study plan (minimum 22.5 credits/semester, minimum 45 credits/academic year).

However, the scholarship does not cover living expenses. If your status is changed from being a fee-paying student to a non-paying student during the study period of the programme you will no longer be granted the scholarship.

Eligibility requirements

For you to be eligible for the Mälardalen University Master’s Scholarship you must:

  • first apply for an eligible Masters programme at Mälardalen University on www.universityadmissions.se, with Mälardalen University as their first choice university and your application fee paid on time
  • be a citizen of a country outside EU/EEA/Switzerland
  • not be a citizen of the 12 countries with which Sweden has long-term development cooperation. These countries are Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia
